Senior Executive / Manager Government Relations

Designation : Senior Executive / Manager Government Relations

Job Purpose:

  1. Responsible for Stake holder relations activities primarily in a region concerning corporate, services and related activities and issues.
  2. Primary focus on government relations but other stakeholders also need to be covered. These include – trade bodies, universities, training institutes, community groups, other partners etc.
  3. Should be able to plan and run the various CSR / training programs independently. Media handling abilities is a plus.
  4. Ability to take charge of a region / state independently.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the management of relationship with the government departments. This includes strategically planning the relationship and implementing it on a day to day basis.
  2. Understanding the needs of the organization in terms of external liaison and then implementing the same.
  3. Liaison with government officials / agencies, industry groups and media groups.
  4. Represent the organization at various government meetings, community and trade associations.
  5. Cascade corporate information to government and other stakeholders.
  6. Develop and maintain the relationship with the government agencies on a day to day basis.
  7. Track the movement of the government officials across the bureaucracy and ensure continuous communication with the “friends” of the organization.
  8. Track the government activities/ priorities at a state / regional level and spot opportunities to present the organization in a good light.
  9. Conceptualize and plan the activities that aid the positive image of the organization – CSR activities related to training, local area development etc. Implementation of these activities with relative independence.
  10. Track the CSR activities of competitors in this space for the region/ state.
  11. Assist the Corporate Relations team / MDs office in planning and implementing meetings of senior Metro Group Officials (national and international) and other important people with the government agencies.
  12. Coordinate activities with corporate and internal communication staff for CC and GR to be in synch.
  13. Assist in crisis communications activities
  14. Help develop and implement Internal & external communications programs, administer various surveys.

Profile requirements:

Academic qualification: MBA/ PG in Mass communication / rural development MBA (IRMA) / International development/ PG in Econ – development economics / MSW

Regional Manager - Government Vertical

  1. Responsible for achieving sales targets by leading sales team and meeting customers across the country on specific business vertical.
  2. Profit centre head.
  3. Shall be B.E. Computers/Electronics/Instrumentation & MBA with atleast 7-9 yrs. of exp. with 5years exp. in security systems solutions and Sales. Shall be willing to travel.
  4. Excellent team leading, communication & presentation skills.
  5. Excellent relationship with clients in the Government Vertical.
  6. Excellent Exposure to government procurement processes

Service Account Manager (Government & Defence)

  1. Develop service sales plans for selected Govt & defense accounts in conjunction with account teams.
  2. Prepare service responses for RFPs and new service bids or proposals.
  3. Work with Legal and Business Operations in order to effectively accomplish. Meet and exceed the service booking targets for the accounts.
  4. Conduct regular account reviews with the account teams and Customer Advocacy.
  5. Drive the sales of new services within customer and act as the advocate for Customer issues within group, driving programs, service product launches and best-practices.
  6. Assist contracts management in the renewal process and close major renewals; Monitor all critical account situations until resolution and work with group to recommend changes to Company or accounts in the region.
  7. Conduct regular reviews of allocated accounts to access satisfaction with support offerings. Work with allocated account teams to enhance current offerings, or develop new offerings, as appropriate.
  8. Drive the sales of new services within the region. Requires 10-20% travel.
  9. 10 years or more of field based customer service and sales. experience in a high-technology environment.
  10. Very recent, 3-5 years field experience in govt & defense based out of delhi is mandatory.
  11. Strong understanding of networking product applications, network management techniques, and product & service strategies to develop high availability support solutions for large, mission-critical networks.
  12. General understanding of legal contracts.
